Commuters

In our society and especially in my generation, acquiring a car is a key milestone for success. Everyone dreams of owning one. I also aspired and owned one in my mid-20s. I realize now that what everyone should have is not a car but access to mobility options that are reliable, efficient, convenient, comfortable and safe. The irony in my life is when I had already owned a car and a motorcycle, it was also then that I had become a regular commuter. I am aware that it is a choice I have that others don't.

I dream that commuters of today will not feel trapped in a poor system of public transportation that limits their life choices. I dream that our transportation system and infrastructures will help us make healthy and equitable mobility choices. And our choices make us happier people and a kinder society.

We in Move As One are striving hard to make this dream come true for our commuters today and for the next generation.
