Bea Dolores

Heritage Advocate

Hi, I’m Bea Dolores, proudly kababayan of Gat Jose Rizal. My background is in the field of architecture and urban design, with a focus on sustainability thru heritage, mobility, and climate action. I was trained by the former US VP Al Gore at the 2016’s The Climate Reality Leadership Manila Training which started my whole advocacy journey. This experience led me to become part of starting organizations that I was able to co-found our very own: a Manila-based cultural organization named Renacimiento Manila.

Thru Renacimiento Manila, I learned about the history of the Pasig River and its relation to our identity as Filipinos. Our shared passion for #IlogPasiglahin lead me to the wonderful network of Move As One and eventually, served as the Community Coordination Lead in hopes to stop San Miguel Corporation’s Pasig River Expressway (PAREX). #NoToPAREX

I became a mobility advocate more out of my daily struggles as a commuter since I had been taking public transportation all my life. My typical commutes are multimodal and between provinces and Metro Manila. Thru Move As One Coalition, I was trained in the second batch of the Young Mobility Leadership Program. Back in 2021, we also had a collaboration with AltMobility and Daily Cycle Manila called “Reclaiming Manila Streets into People-First Streets”, which I’m intending to develop further as I’m partaking in the year-long Youth Transport Fellowship Program by the Urban Mobility Innovation (UMI) Fund and Clean Mobility Collective.
